Is set to tour Australia again in June 2007
Blue King Brown is a band for your hips, heart and head. The collective melds a deeply percussive sense of rhythm with sweet melodicism and politically astute lyrics.
You can hear the afro-beat, reggae slink and Latin influence but the band has created a distinctly original sound and they’ve hit the sweetspot. A refreshing modern take on roots music, uniquely Australian with an unquestionable international feel.

Bassist Fully Fullwood of the Tosh Meets Marley band struts his stuff.
All the troubles of the world, let a lone a nation, could not keep the reggae faithful away from the FMF Dome on Monday night.
Fronted by Bob Marley and the Wailers lead guitrarist, Junior Marvin and Peter Tosh-bassist Fully Fullwood, the Tosh Meets Marley tour brought the pioneers of the 'one-drop' style of playing to Fiji for the first time.
Reggaemylitis is spreading thru Cairns. Local reggae band Koahlition will be the supporting band for the upcoming"Tosh meets Marley" Gig on Friday December 8 at Brothers Leagues Club.
Rohan from Koahlition said "the band is excited to be playing the gig, we will be warming up the crowd with some great reggae covers from Toots & the Maytals, Jimmy Cliff, Desmond Dekker, Sophia George & other reggae greats, as well as some Koahlition originals." Keep an eye out for Koahlition at venues around FNQ.

WANTOK MUSIK FOUNDATION
“Music is what we all share. It’s our history, our lore, it’s our future, our education, it’s our hurts, it’s our joys, it’s our injustices, our struggles, it’s our future, our love, and our hope.
This is how it is for all cultures, this is common, and it’s through music that we hear, share and learn these things. Music can and has crossed every cultural barrier imaginable and will continued to do so.
There may be different sounds, different beats, different instruments, but we are singing the same things, we are talking with a common language – with one talk.”
Drawing on the rich musical talent of our region, The Wantok Musik Foundation, an Australian-based not-for-profit organisation, promotes and facilitates various cultural exchanges and a greater level of economic empowerment for Melanesian and indigenous artists and their communities.
